Northology & KOAR Community Shows Up Big for the KORC Clean-Up!
The 5th Annual KORC Keweenaw Clean-Up was a shining example of what happens when outdoor lovers unite for a cause. This year, over 80 volunteers gathered in Copper Harbor—many from the Northology and KOAR communities—to roll up their sleeves and give back to the land we all love exploring.
Together, participants removed more than 5,840 pounds of trash from trails, parks, beaches, woods, and roadsides across the Keweenaw. After the hard work was done, the community came together at the Donny Kilpela Memorial Park for a well-earned celebration: the annual Community Picnic and volunteer prize raffle—a joyful way to honor everyone’s contributions.
A huge thank-you goes out to our campout sponsors—Redridge Industries, Northstar Overlanding, and Flat Peak Level Tent—for helping us host a relaxing and fun basecamp for our volunteers. Special thanks also to Trails End Campground for graciously letting us gather and camp on-site.
KORC’s cleanup effort wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of individuals, families, clubs, organizations, and businesses who donate time, equipment, food, drinks, and prizes. It’s this kind of community spirit that keeps the Keweenaw wild and wonderful.
Thank you for showing up, pitching in, and making a difference!
