OVERLAND BASECAMP COMMUNITY EVENT: The Keweenaw Peninsula is the perfect backdrop for a basecamp location centered around sight-seeing, hiking, and rugged two-track exploration for just about every level of comfort & ability. At camp there will be vendors, seminars, demos & clinics, door prizes, live entertainment and a play/activity area for the kids. Off-camp adventure options include two-track touring, rockhounding, waterfall chasing, astrophotography, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, sea plane tours and more (some activities require reservations and are not included in your KOAR ticket.) Camping, swag bag, printed guide, sticker, tee and all basecamp activities included with your KOAR Pass. Day Pass includes printed guide, sticker, raffle ticket and all basecamp activities, no camping, tee or swag bag. Some offsite activities require an extra fee (seaplane tour, mtb & sea kayaking for example.)

KOAR 2026 Pass- Flex Campsite
Save a few bucks and book camping in a shared or primitive group camping area. Site may not have picnic table or fire ring. For van, ground tent, car camping or rooftop tent setups only, NO trailers or oversized vehicles in these areas. *Additional attendees/passengers in your rig/campsite need a "Add a Passenger" ticket. Kids under 18 free with Kid's Ticket.

KOAR pass and camping at Trails End for the weekend. Good for one individual in one vehicle (RV or other large expedition vehicle and trailer over 13') in one campsite (fire pit and picnic table provided.) NOTE: camping is rustic, no hookups or dump station available onsite. Site may be all grass, please come prepared. Includes all basecamp activities, drawings, seminars, clinics, demos, tee shirt and swag bag. *Additional attendees/passengers in your rig/campsite need an "Add a Passenger" ticket. This ticket is for entry to the KOAR grounds for one day (8am-10pm FRIDAY OR SATURDAY ONLY, your choice.) Day pass includes a KOAR guide and sticker, and participation in all basecamp activities, clinics, drawings, etc, (NO camping, swag bag or tshirt provided with day pass ticket.)

KOAR 2026 Volunteer Ticket
A volunteer ticket lets you be part of the KOAR crew for one day while still enjoying the rest of the retreat as a full attendee. Volunteer shifts take place on Thursday or Friday and may include tasks like check-in, directing campers, helping vendors get settled, or supporting camp operations. In return for contributing a day of your time, you’ll receive a full KOAR attendee pass for the entire weekend, including camping, access to all activities, and the satisfaction of helping make this community-driven event possible. It’s a great way to give back, meet people, and experience KOAR from the inside out.

Seaplane Tour
KOAR group discount ticket for a 30 minute flight with Isle Royale Seaplane Tours on KOAR Friday 9/12 with Saturday, 9/13 as weather backup. Flights depart Lake Fanny Hooe in Copper Harbor. Time slot signups TBA. Refundable up to 30 days before event or if Isle Royale Seaplanes cancels flight due to weather.
